If your fireteam wants to confront the legions directly, everyone should converge on the center and hit them head on. The Templar will summon his Legions: a swarm of Fanatics that flood the center lane. Eventually the first conflux will safely dissipate. For the most part, 2 guardians per lane should be sufficient to stop any Vex from reaching the conflux. Your fireteam will once again be splitting up into pairs. The Vex will come streaming towards the conflux through 3 distinct “lanes”: along the left and right sides, as well as down the middle of the platform. The phase begins with a single conflux at the back-middle of the platform.

Phase 1: Defend the Confluxesĭuring this phase, your fireteam must protect a series of confluxes from Vex forces. Stay out of its line of sight whenever possible. For now, you must simply avoid its attacks. Try as you might, you cannot harm it… not yet. Its shield is impervious, and its concussion blasts deadly. The Templar hovers at the back of the central platform. The encounter in the Templar’s Well takes place over 3 phases: If anyone on your fireteam gets marked at any point during this battle, they can “cleanse” themselves by stepping on to the large round plate in the center of the platform’s lower level. Before you and your fellow Guardians make the leap down to the platform, take one final moment to prepare for the long battle ahead. The stillness of the cavern won’t last things are about to get hectic. Your fireteam will come to a cliff edge that overlooks a large, multi-leveled platform. You have come to the site of your first true test within the Vault of Glass.
